Judgment

1.This is an application seeking the review of the common order dated 12.08.2010 in W.P.(C) No. 10893 of 2010 and W.A. No. 1248 of 2010.
By the said order, we directed the Registrar (Vigilance) of this Court to conduct a preliminary enquiry regarding the filing of two writ petitions by the same Petitioner seeking the same relief successively without disclosing the fact that he had earlier approached this Court. We further directed that after enquiry appropriate criminal proceedings should be initiated.
Apart from filing the review, an affidavit by the writ Petitioner dated 29.08.2010 also is placed on record explaining the circumstances under which he filed two successive writ petitions without disclosing the fact to this Court. He not only tendered an unconditional apology but also sought indulgence of this Court.
Having regard to the totality of the circumstances, we deem it appropriate to modify the order dated 12.08.2010. Accepting the unconditional apology and regret of the Petitioner, W.A. No. 1248 of 2010 stands dismissed. In W.P. (C) No. 10893 of 2010, the review Petitioner is one of the four writ Petitioners (2nd Petitioner). The said writ petition also stands dismissed in so far as the present applicant (review Petitioner) is concerned. The Review Petitioner also will pay exemplary cost of `25,000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand only) to the High Court Legal Services Committee within a period of two weeks from today, failing which this order lapses and earlier order revives.
Post W.P. (C) No. 10893 of 2010 before appropriate Bench along with this order.
