The present petition has been filed for quashing of FIR No.11 dated 04.02.2016, registered at Police Station GRP, Ambala Cantt., P.S. Panipat,

under Sections 306/34 IPC on the basis of compromise dated 24.10.2016 (Annexure P-3).

Pursuant to order dated 09.11.2016, report dated 15.12.2016 has been received from Sh. Himanshu Singh, Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Panipat,

according to which, the statements of the parties have been recorded and the compromise is genuine and has been arrived at between them without

any pressure or coercion.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has also placed reliance upon the order dated 22.02.2018 passed by the coordinate Bench of this Court in CRM-

M-564-2018 titled as “Safi and others Vs. State of Punjab and others†wherein FIR for an offence under Section 306 read with Section 34 IPC

has been quashed on the basis of compromise between the parties.

In view of the above, the petition is allowed and FIR No.11 dated 04.02.2016, registered at Police Station GRP, Ambala Cantt., P.S. Panipat, under

Sections 306/34 IPC alongwith all consequential proceedings having arisen therefrom, is quashed qua the petitioner.
