The instant petition has been filed by the petitioner under Article 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India seeking writ of mandamus directing thee respondents to allow the petitioner to continue her contractual services as Assistant Professor till the reguular recruitment is made on the said post.
Notice of motion in the present case was issued on 27.07.2021 and status quo qua the services of the petitioner was ordered to be maintained.
On the last date of hearing i.e. 02.04.2025, learned State counsel souught adjournment to apprise the Court as to whether the petitioner is continuing in service or not.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that despite writing various letters, he has not been able to get instructions to this effect from the petitioner. However, learned State counsel, on instructions from Assistant Inspector Ashwani Singh, submits that the petitioner has submitted resignation on 28.09.2022 which was accepted on the same date, so the instant petition has been rendered infructuous.
Disposed of as having been rendered infructuous.
