By judgment dated 12.06.2026, this Court modified the decree passed by the Family Court and reduced the quantum of gold and also set aside the decree for money.

The review petition has been filed by the appellants contending that this Court based its judgment on relying on photographs, assumptions and presumptions. The factual finding is not based on any material, it is contended.

We have heard the learned counsel appearing for the review petitioners and the respondent.

This Court had taken into consideration Ext.A1 series of bills/invoices, the payment made to Josco Fashion Jewellery, as evidenced by Ext.A3 passbook on 15.01.2010, and also the oral evidence in the case. The judgment was based on an overall appreciation of the evidence and the circumstances proved before the Court.

It is well settled that the jurisdiction of a Court in review is limited and that a person aggrieved by a judgment is not entitled to invoke the review jurisdiction by raising factual challenges as if the proceedings were an appeal. The grounds raised in the review petition do not disclose any error apparent on the face of the record warranting interference in review jurisdiction. The review petition, therefore, is liable to be dismissed.

In the result, the review petition is dismissed.
