State Bank Of India vs The District Collector Cum District Magistrate & Ors.

This writ petition seeks a direction to the second respondent to implement the order dated 16.11.2025 passed by the first respondent in R.C.No.14048/2019/M2, whereby the District Magistrate had directed the second respondent/Tahsildar to handover physical possession of the secured asset to the Authorised Officer of the petitioner bank.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that despite the order having been passed on 16.11.2025, the Tahsildar, Ponneri, has not complied with the same.

Learned State counsel submitted that they will comply with the order positively within a period of two weeks from today.

In view of the above, two weeks’ time from today is granted to the second respondent to comply with the order dated 16.11.2025 passed by the first respondent in full and hand over physical possession of the secured asset to the petitioner bank.

With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. There shall no order as to costs.
