Judgment

This petition is for a mandamus directing the second respondent to open the premises in Door No.195, East Street, Melamangalam Panchayat, Melamangalam Village, Periyakulam Taluk, Theni District (subject property), temporarily for the purposes of taking movables of the petitioner therefrom.
2.The petitioner was a tenant in the aforesaid premises and states that on 04.11.2025, the premises was locked at the instance of the respondent Bank, on the ground that there were outstanding dues from his landlord to the Bank.
As the marriage of the petitioner's daughter is scheduled to be held on 01.12.2025, he is in requirement of several articles in the house and hence this writ petition with the prayer aforesaid.
Mr.Sujai Krishna, learned counsel for Mr.Ajai Parthiban, who accepts notice for the respondent Bank fairly does not stand in the way of the prayer being granted.
Having regard to the circumstances under which the prayer has been made, mandamus is issued directing R2 to open the subject property by 05.00 p.m. today, such that the petitioner may remove his possessions therefrom. Needless to say, the Bank will lock the premises and take possession thereof, immediately thereafter.
This writ petition is allowed. No costs.
