Judgment
The Court: The petitioners have filed the present writ petition seeking for a direction upon the Secretary West Bengal Board of Primary Education to take a decision in accordance with law in respect of the petitioners representation dated 27th June, 2017 as well as 29th June, 2017.
Mr. Arefin, Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners have asked to appear in the selection process by the Board. Accordingly, the petitioners appeared before the selection process. Thereafter, the petitioners were asked to supply the name of the school of their choice. That was duly complied with by the petitioners. Unfortunately, till date petitioners have not been given an appointment to the school of their choice.
Against that petitioners made several representations before the Secretary, West Bengal Board of Primary Education, but all in vain. Hence the present writ petition.
Mr. Biswas, Learned Advocate for the Chairman, West Bengal Board of Primary Education, submits since the petitioners had already made representations before the Secretary, West Bengal Board of Primary Education thereby ventilating their grievances, therefore the Court may direct the Secretary, West Bengal Board of Primary Education to take a decision in accordance with law in respect of the petitioners'' representations.
Considering the submissions advanced by the learned Advocates for the parties and after perusing the record, I direct the Secretary, West Bengal Board of Primary Education to take a decision in accordance with law in respect of the petitioners'' representations dated 27th June, 2017, as well as 29th June, 2017 within six weeks from the date of communication of this order, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners or their authorized representative and thereafter communicate the decision to the petitioners within one week.
With this direction, this writ petition is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
