1.

This is a tenant''s revision petition against the order of eviction u/s 27(2)(r) of the Karnataka Rent Act, 1999 (for short, ''the Act''). During pendency of revision petition, respondent landlord has filed an application (IA-I/2012), inter alia contending that petitioner-tenant has not paid rents for the period from December 2010 up-to-date, amounting to Rs.16,150/-.

2.

On 25.07.2012, learned counsel for petitioner-tenant requested for grant of time to file objections. To-day objections are not filed.

3.

The impugned order of eviction was made on 21.09.2010. The instant petition was filed on 12.01.2011. At the time of filing the revision petition, the tenant has not deposited arrears of rent. Even during pendency of this revision petition, petitioner-tenant has not deposited arrears of rent and he has not been paying current rent. The petitioner-tenant has not shown sufficient cause either for non-payment of arrears of rent or current rents. Therefore, in terms of section 45(4) of the Act, revision petition is dismissed.
