1.

Appellant and respondent are present before the Court. Their respective counsels are also present. By consent of both the parties, the matter is taken up to record the compromise between parties.

2.

I.A.No.2/2016 in MFA No.201997/2015 is allowed condoning the delay of 60 days in preferring the appeal.

3.

Perused the compromise petition filed under Order 23 Rule 3 CPC. The appellant is handing over a demand draft bearing No.089637 for a sum of Rs.8,25,000/- (Rupees Eight Lakh Twenty Five Thousand Only), acknowledged by the respondent before this Court. The parties have agreed for other terms and conditions mentioned in the memorandum of compromise petition.

4.

There is no impediment for this Court to accept the said compromise petition. Hence, the compromise petition is accepted, as the execution of the same is admitted before us. However, this Court cannot step into the shoes of the trial Court and grant any divorce decree. Hence, the parties are at liberty to approach the jurisdictional Court for appropriate remedy for divorce by filing a petition for consent divorce.

With these observations, both the appeals stand disposed of.
