Ext.P6 application of the petitioner for correction of date of birth and names of his parents in the school records is pending consideration before the 2nd respondent. The petitioner seeks a direction to the 2nd  respondent to consider the same expeditiously.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned standing counsel for the respondents 1 and 2.

In the facts and circumstances of the case and having regard to the submissions made across the Bar, there will be a direction to the petitioner to submit necessary application for correction of date of birth and names of his parents in the school records with relevant documents, afresh, before the additional respondents 3 and 4 within two weeks from today along with a copy of this judgment and the additional respondents 3 and 4 shall forward the same to the 2nd respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of submission of the application. On receipt of the same, the 2nd respondent shall consider the applications in accordance with law, within a period of two months thereafter. The submission of the petitioner’s counsel that the petitioner will not act upon Ext.P11 is recorded. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the application.

The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
