Judgment
P.N. Ravindran, J.—The Petitioners who are employees of the fourth Respondent society have filed this writ petition, seeking a direction to the Joint Registrar of Co-operative Societies (General), Kollam, to appoint a senior officer of the Co-operation Department to open the office of the fourth Respondent society and to seize the registers and documents after preparing a mahazar in the presence of the employees and the Sub Inspector of Police, Kundara. It is alleged that the fifth Respondent, the President of the Society, locked the office of the society and went away on 20.12.2010 and that the office of the society has not been opened thereafter. The Petitioner apprehends that the fifth Respondent is likely to remove important documents from the office of the society.
When this writ petition came up for hearing today, Sri. Basanth Balaji, the learned Government Pleader appearing for the official Respondents submitted that the Joint Registrar of Co operative Societies (General), Kollam, has appointed an Administrator to take over the management of the society and that the Administrator has already assumed charge. In the light of the said submission, the Petitioner cannot have any subsisting grievance. This writ petition is accordingly closed as infructuous.
