This is an application under Article 226 of the Constitution of India challenging the inaction on the part of the Public Information Officer, High Court,

Appellate Side with regard to certain information that has been sought by the writ petitioner. Out of the three queries the writ petitioner received the

answer to one of his three queries by the Public Information Officer, being the Deputy Registrar (Administration), High Court, Appellate Side,

Calcutta.

Subsequently, the writ petitioner filed an appeal before the Registrar (Administration), High Court, Appellate Side, Calcutta being the First Appellate

Authority under the R.T.I. Act. The Appellate Authority passed a specific order directing the Public Information Officer to obtain the information

with regard to query nos.

3(I)(A) and 3(I)(C) from the office of Learned Registrar General-cum-Secretary, Selection Board, High Court, Appellate Side, Calcutta by sending

requisition immediately and after obtaining the information to inform the writ petitioner of the same immediately.

The above order was passed on January 30, 2018. However, till date the writ petitioner has not received any response from the Public Information

Officer.

The above matter shall be listed on April 4, 2018 when the Public Information Officer is directed to be present in court.
