Petitioner submitted an application for considering his candidature for B. Ed. (Non-medical) course on 03.06.2009. Last date for submission of the forms was 15th July, 2009. Petitioner is ward of Ex-serviceman. The grievance of the petitioner, in a nut-shell, is that respondent-University has not provided any reservation for the wards of Ex-servicemen. Petitioner approached this Court for the redressal of his grievance by way of C.W.P. No. 3622 of 2009. He was permitted to make a representation to the Vice-Chancellor of the respondent-University on 25th May, 2010. The representation made by the petitioner was rejected by the Vice-Chancellor on 21.06.2010.

It is evident from the reply filed by the respondent-University that as per the Ordinances of the respondent-University, no reservation has been provided by the University for the wards of Ex-servicemen. This Court cannot direct the respondent-University to make reservation for the wards of Exservicemen.

Accordingly, there is no merit in this petition and the same is dismissed, so also the pending application(s), if any. No costs.
