N. Ananda, J.—This is a claimant''s appeal for enhancement of compensation. I have heard Sri. L. Papanna, learned counsel for claimant and Sri. Gururaja Shetty, learned counsel for Insurance Company.

The claimant had suffered following injuries:-

I. Cut lacerated injury over temporal region measuring 2" x 1/2" x 1".

II. Abrasion on left hand measuring 3 cms x 0.5 cm.

III. Abrasion on right leg measuring 5 cms x 1 cm.

IV. Fracture of first left meta carpal.

The claimant was treated in General Hospital at Tiptur.

The claimant was aged about 51 years at time of accident. He was driver of a tempo. The Tribunal has awarded global compensation of Rs. 55,000/ -.

On hearing learned counsel for parties and after going through evidence and the impugned award, I am of the opinion that compensation awarded by Tribunal needs modification and it is accordingly modified as follows:-

In the result, I pass the following:-

ORDER

The appeal is accepted in part. The impugned award is modified, compensation of Rs. 55,000/- awarded by Tribunal is enhanced to Rs. 65,000/-. The rest of the impugned award is confirmed.
