Judgment

The present petition has been filed by the petitioners for providing them police protection.
A newly marriage couple has come up before this Court seeking police protection because the husband is apprehending threat from the father of his
wife.
Status report is filed, which reveals that police has not received any complainant. However, in the status report, it is mentioned that in case there is
a direction to provide police security to the petitioenrs, then the local police has no objection to that.
Mr. Sunil Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioners, submits that on 18th, 5th respondent, father of the girl, had visited Shimla and threatened his
parents. It would be a disclosure of separate cause of action and it is always open for such persons to lodge complaint, in case, they think so
appropriate. As far as protection is concerned, in case the petitioners feel any real threat to their lives, then they would approach the nearest police
post/police station or give telephonic information to the police and in such a situation, necessary police protection for the duration such threat exists,
would be provided.
Mr.Vikas Rathore, learned Additional Advocate General, is also consenting to such order.
Given above, the petition stands disposed, so also the pending miscellaneous application(s), if any.
