Judgment
Surya Kant, J.—The Petitioner has been selected for appointment to the post of Math Master. He seeks a mandamus that the selected candidates should be offered postings as per their merit and place of choice. It is further prayed that the Petitioner may be posted at Government High School, Kirianwala, Block Ferula, District Friseur where one post of Math Master is lying vacant.
The above stated claim has already been raised by the Petitioner before the authorities through a representation (Annexure P-5).
The writ petition is accordingly disposed of at this stage with a direction to Respondent Nos. 2 and 3 to adhere to the principles of merit, as far as it is possible, in the matter of postings also but without compromising with the administrative or public interests. The above stated Respondents are further directed to consider the claim of the Petitioner for his posting at Government High School, Kirianwala, Block Ferula, District Friseur, as according to him, that School is near to his home place and he has to look after his old parents. The Petitioner''s request regarding posting in the above stated School shall be decided within a period of two weeks from the date of receiving a certified copy of this order.
Till then, the post of Math Master in the above-stated School shall not be filled up by pasting some other Math Master.
Ordered accordingly.
