The matter is taken up for hearing by way of a praecipe filed by the appellant for seeking urgent relief.
By order dated 23.09.2024, the appellant was directed to deposit ₹1.15 crores as a pre-deposit for entertaining the appeal. The appellant had paid only ₹5 lakhs on the date of the order and sought time for the balance amount and this Tribunal permitted him to deposit the balance amount in two equal instalments of ₹55 lakhs each and the first instalment is due and payable on 07.10.2024.
An application for extension of time is filed by the appellant stating that he could pay only ₹25 lakhs towards the first instalment and a demand draft has been submitted on 01.10.2024 towards that amount and for the balance amount of the first instalment, the
appellant seeks 10 days’ time.
Given the payment of ₹25 lakhs on 01.10.2024, the balance amount due towards the first instalment shall be paid by 17.10.2024.
For reporting compliance regarding the first instalment, adjourned to 18.10.2024.
