Judgment
This Criminal Petition is filed under Sections 437 and 439 of Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (for short “Cr.P.C”) seeking to enlarge the petitioner/accused No.1 on bail in connection with Crime No.92 of 2021, on the file of Munipally Police Station, Sangareddy District, registered for the offence punishable under Section 20(b) of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (for short “N.D.P.S.Act, 1985”).
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner/accused No.1 and learned Assistant Public Prosecutor for the respondent-State. Perused the record.
The case of the prosecution is that on 18.10.2021, while the Police, Munipally conducing vehicle checking at Toll Plaza in the limits of Kankole Village on the road of NH 65, they noticed a Bolero Maxi Truck bearing No.TN 49 BH 3645 and on suspicion, they stopped the truck and on search, they found 120 packets of two kilograms each, total 240 kgs. of dry ganja in the vehicle.
Learned counsel for the petitioner/accused No.1 submits that charge-sheet is already filed and accused No.3 in this case was also granted bail by the I Additional District and Sessions Judge, Sangareddy.
In the background of said changed circumstances of investigation being completed and also accused No.3 being granted bail on 13.06.2022, the concerned Court is directed to dispose of the bail application of this petitioner within two working days.
Accordingly, the criminal petition is disposed of.
Miscellaneous applications, if any pending in this criminal petition, shall stand closed.
