H.S. Thangkhiew, J

1.

Mr. N.D.Chullai, learned AAG assisted by Ms. Z.E.Nongkynrih, learned GA for respondent No. 3 submits that the impugned order dated 01-06-2022 appears to be defective and as such, submits that the same is in the course of being recalled and withdrawn. He further submits that as the proceedings is under the Meghalaya Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorised Occupants) Act, 1980, the same shall be conducted in accordance with the Act and further prays that the petitioner may be directed to file show-cause.

2.

Such directions are unnecessary as in the earlier proceedings, this Court vide order dated 20-05-2022, had made the entire matter clear as to how the respondents were not precluded from instituting proceedings under the Public Premises Act.

3.

In view of the above submission by the learned AAG, nothing survives for further consideration by this Court. However, it would be expedient if prior information about the date when the matter is taken up by the respondents be informed to the petitioner beforehand.

4.

Accordingly, matter stands closed and disposed of.
