Judgment
Sandeep Sharma, J
By way of present Contempt Petition, prayer has been made on behalf of the petitioner for initiation of contempt proceedings against the respondent for having willfully, intentionally and deliberately disobeyed the order dated 19.5.2011, whereby this Court has ordered as under:
"Notice. It is seen that the petitioner has been working as a Post Graduate Teacher since the year, 1996. In case the reversion of the petitioner has not actually taken place as on today, further proceedings in that regard shall be deferred for the time being. Reply be filed within eight weeks."
Reply having been filed by the respondent clearly reveals that claim of the petitioner for the post of lecturer was rejected vide order dated 10.5.2011, i.e. before passing of order alleged to have been violated, hence learned Additional Advocate General is correct in stating that there is no contempt, if any, on the part of the respondent.
Having carefully perused the averments contained in para5 of the reply, which are virtually admitted by the petitioner in her rejoinder, this Court sees no reason to continue with the instant contempt proceedings against the respondent and as such, same are hereby dropped and contempt notices are discharged.
Needless to say, disposal of the present contempt petition shall have no bearing on the main matter, which shall be decided on its own merit.
Registry is directed to list the main matter for hearing next week, as has been prayed for by learned counsel representing the parties.
