This matter is taken up by video conferencing mode.

Heard Mr.Khan, learned counsel for the Appellant and Mr.S.K.Swain, learned counsel for Respondent No.2.

The claimant has come up in the present appeal praying for enhancement of the compensation amount on account of injuries sustained by him in the

accident dated 13th March, 2009.

The learned Tribunal i.e., District Judge-Cum-M.A.C.T.(I), Balangir in the impugned judgment dated 13th March, 2009 passed in M.A.C.No.84 of

2009 has directed for payment of compensation to the tune of Rs.12,800/- along with interest @7% per annum from the date of filing of the claim

application i.e. 15th October, 2009.

Having heard both parties and considering the undisputed nature of injury, which is facture of right hand (forearm) and the period of treatment for

twenty six days, the amount of compensation is further enhanced by Rs.15,000/- consolidated without getting into the dispute in detail.

Accordingly, the Insurer-Respondent No.2 is directed to pay a further consolidated sum of Rs.15,000/-(fifteen thousand) to the Appellant within a

period of eight weeks from today.

The appeal is disposed of with the aforesaid direction.

As the restrictions due to resurgence of COVID-19 situation are continuing, learned counsel for the parties may utilize a printout of the order

available in the High Court’s website, at par with certified copy, subject to attestation by the concerned advocate, in the manner prescribed vide

Court’s Notice No.4587, dated 25th March, 2020, modified by Notice No.4798, dated 15th April,2021, and Court’s Office Order circulated

vide Memo Nos.514 and 515 dated 7th January,2022..
