Prayer in the writ petition is for the issuance of a writ of Mandamus for directing respondent No. 4 to re-engage the petitioners on DC rates and to grant all other consequential benefits including continuity of service in view of similarly situated employees who were appointed along with the petitioners by respondent No. 4 on DC rates in the year 2018 are still continuing in service while the services of the petitioners have been dispensed with.

Learned counsel for the petitioners states that the petitioners have submitted representation, Annexure P/4 dated 12.12.2019 in respect of the grievances which are the subject matter of the instant writ petition but the same has not been decided till date and that in the circumstances, the petitioners would be satisfied if the writ petition is disposed of by directing respondent No. 4 to consider and decide the representation, Annexure P/4 dated 12.12.2019 in accordance with law in a time bound manner.

Without commenting upon the merits of the controversy or the entitlement of the petitioners to the relief claimed, the writ petition is disposed of by directing respondent No. 4 to consider and decide the representation, Annexure P-4 dated 12.12.2019 in accordance with law after taking into account all aspects of the matter as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order.
