Petitioner is the sole accused in Crime 503 of 2021 of Panamaram police station in Wayanad district registered on 03.12.2021 alleging offence

punishable under Section 320 of the IPC.

That crime had originated on the strength of the First Information Statement furnished by Rijin T George, the 1st respondent. It is alleged that the

petitioner, the accused, had collected an amount of Rs.29,000/- from the de facto complainant offering the de facto complainant employment in Malta;

neither he could arrange the employment nor the amount was repaid and thus the case was originated. Now it is submitted that the case is settled and

the amount has been repaid. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the case is under investigation. The petitioner has been taken into

custody and is undergoing detention.

I heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and also the learned Senior Public Prosecutor.

The learned Senior Public Prosecutor submits that the case is settled. However, the petitioner is involved in one more crime of similar nature in

Palakkad North police station limits. Whatever it may be, the 1st respondent has confirmed the settlement reached with him by the petitioner. It was a

personal deal between the petitioner and the 1st respondent, which stands settled out of Court.

In the circumstances, all further proceedings in Crime 503 of 2021 of Panamaram police station are quashed.

The Criminal Miscellaneous Case is allowed as above.
