Mr. N. Jotendro, learned senior counsel assisted by Syed Murtaza Ahmed, learned counsel appears for the petitioner; Mr. Kh. Tarunkumar, learned senior counsel assisted by Mr. W. Jamon, learned counsel, appears for the 1, i.e., the High Court of Manipur represented by its Registrar General and Mr. W. Niranjit, learned Deputy GA, appears for the State respondents No. 2 and 3.
Learned senior counsel appearing for the respondent No.1 submitted that pursuant to the Advertisement Notification No. HCM/R-3/2018-Estt-II/8625 dated 19.04.2023 issued by the Registrar (Judicial), High Court of Manipur that no further adjudication is required in the present writ petition on the simple ground that pursuant to the said Advertisement issued by the High Court, the selection process was completed and selected candidates were appointed and they also joined their duty and therefore, at this juncture, the petitioner has not challenged the subsequent appointment of the selected candidates. Therefore, the instant writ petition has become infructuous.
However, the learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner seeks liberty to challenge the said appointment order, if necessary.
In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing for the parties, we are of the view that when the entire selection process is completed and appointment has been given to the selected candidates, the writ petition has become infructuous.
In view of the above, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous with the above liberty.
