Judgment
We have heard learned counsel for the parties. This writ petition was filed in public interest for simplifying the procedure for donation of human bodies for research to the Medical Colleges in the State of Rajasthan. The writ petition was disposed of on 11.08.2011, with certain directions to simplify the procedure for donation of the human bodies, prayer meeting on "Dadhich Jayanti" at SMS Medical College, Jaipur, and to collect the donated body in a befitting manner. 2. An application was filed thereafter for allowing construction of a monument in the memory of body donors with their names inscribed on a slab to be erected, in the monument. With the consent of the parties, the application was disposed of on 23.08.2012, to take requisite steps within three months.
Learned Advocate General informs that he is the Chairman of the Committee, constituted for the purpose, and that it will be embarrassing for him to appear in the Court for compliance of the order. It is stated that despite time fixed in the matter, the monument has not been constructed.
We do not find any good ground to keep the writ petition pending to monitor the matter any further. Necessary directions have already been given to do the needful.
We except that the learned Advocate General will make use of his good Offices for compliance of the orders, for construction of monument, as expeditiously as possible. The application stands disposed of.
