Judgment
Mehinder Singh Sullar, J.—The petitioners claiming themselves to be major, pleaded that they have performed their love marriage against the wishes of the parents and other relatives. They apprehend danger to their lives and liberty at the hands of respondent Nos. 4 to 9. Heard.
Issue notice of motion.
At this stage, Mr. Raj Preet Singh Sidhu, Assistant Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notices on behalf of respondent Nos. 1 to 3.
Having heard the learned counsel for the parties, having gone through the record with their valuable help and without commenting/expressing any opinion, in regard to the ages of the parties and the validity of their marriage, the instant petition is partly accepted. Respondent Nos. 2 and 3 are directed to protect the lives and liberty of the petitioners, in accordance with law. At the same time, respondent Nos. 4 to 9 are restrained from illegally interfering in the peaceful living/lives of the petitioners. Copy of the order be given dasti.
