Judgment

Grievance of the petitioner herein arises out of an order dated 15.12.2022 (Annex.4), vide which, the petitioner was not selected for the post of LDC in pursuance to order dated 04.08.2017 (Annex.5), whereby educational/professional qualification acquired by the petitioner from the CMJ University, Meghalaya was held to be unrecognized.
Prima facie, it appears that the education credentials of the petitioner i.e. Diploma in Computer Application issued by CMJ, University cannot be given any credence as the said certificate is not recognized by UGC.
Moreover, it is not reflected from the record as to whether the aforesaid education qualification was acquired by the petitioner through regular mode or through distance education.
In case of the later, the said certificate in any case, cannot be recognized by the UGC, in view of its guidelines.
Be that as it may, matter was earlier listed on 05.01.2024, while none appeared and in the interest of justice, it was adjourned to 19.02.2024, on 19.02.2024 learned counsel for petitioner was though present, but it was listed today.
When called out for hearing, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner.
Accordingly, the instant petition is dismissed.
