S. Siri Jagan, J.—The Petitioner is an Upper Division Clerk working at Pazhayakunnumel Grama Panchayat with effect from 18.11.2009 in a general transfer. As per the norms, the Petitioner is not due for transfer this year. In Ext. P2 draft general transfer list of L.D. Clerk and U.D. Clerk of Grama Panchayats in Thiruvananthapuram district, the Petitioner''s name has not been included, which, according to the Petitioner, is on account of undue influence from interested persons who have influence with the political party leading the Government before this general elections. The Petitioner has filed Ext. P5 representation in the matter before the 2nd Respondent. The Petitioner seeks a direction to the 2nd Respondent to consider and pass orders on Ext. P5 expeditiously.

2.

Having heard the learned Government Pleader also, I dispose of this writ petition with a direction to the 2nd Respondent to consider and pass orders on Ext. P5, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment, after affording an opportunity of being heard to the Petitioner. If the 2nd Respondent is inclined to accept the contentions of the Petitioner and consequently, if for accommodating the Petitioner any other person has to be transferred, that person also shall be afforded an opportunity of being heard.
