Learned counsel for petitioner is absent.
This petition is filed in the month of September 2024. Office has raised several objections, which are not complied as on today, inspite of granting sufficient time. Even the Sessions Court order rejecting the bail petition has not been produced, to show that the petitioner has approached the Sessions Court prior to filing of this petition.
Case of the prosecution is that petitioner has kidnapped a minor girl and wrongfully confined her in his house, compelled to marry and committed aggravated penetrative sexual assault on her. There are 21 witnesses cited in the charge sheet. Amongst them, 12 witnesses are examined as on 10.04.2024. The trial is at the fag end. Learned High Court Government Pleader has contended that the victim has supported the case of prosecution.
There are no grounds to enlarge the petitioner on bail. Petition is therefore, dismissed.
Dismissal of this petition shall not have any bearing on the trial of the case.
