Judgment
Arindam Lodh, J
Heard Mr. J. Bhattacharjee, learned counsel appearing for the applicant. Also heard Mr. R. Saha, learned Addl. PP appearing for the State-respondent.
In pursuance of the order dated 10.12.2024 in connection with BA 82 of 2024, it appears from the compliance report submitted by accused persons that the accused persons namely, Pranesh Debbarma and Pankaj Debbarma organized some campaign against the uses and abuses of drugs in their respective localities. The Officers in-Charge of the concerned police stations shall furnish a report about the authenticity and genuinity of these programmes as indicated in the reports furnished by the said accused persons.
In the open court, I have seen the videos through pen drive as produced by learned counsel appearing for the applicant from which it comes to light that the accused persons have organized many programmes in the matter of campaign in the meantime.
The pen drive is returned to the applicant after watching the videos against uses and abuses of drugs.
However, considering the entirety of the matter, I direct the accused persons to organize similar programmes campaigning the necessity of refusing the use of drugs till the next date.
Interim bail granted earlier vide order dated 10.12.2024 will continue till the next date on similar conditions. No fresh bail bond is required to be submitted as they have already furnished surety with bond in terms of the order dated 10.12.2024.
A copy of this order may be forwarded to the concerned trial court and the concerned police stations and also be supplied to learned counsel appearing for the parties.
