The present petition has been filed u/s 482 Cr.P.C. seeking direction to respondents No. 1 to 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondents No. 4 & 5. It is alleged that the date of birth of petitioner No. 1 is 24.05.1984 and a copy of voter card is attached as Annexure P/1 and petitioner No. 2 is 22 years of age and copy of passport is attached as Annexure P/2. Marriage of the petitioners was solemnised on 25.12.2012 according to Hindu rites and customs and photographs of the marriage are attached as Annexure P/3. The petitioners are seeking protection of their life and liberty at the hands of the private respondents as petitioner No. 1 belongs to Gujrati Vaishno caste whereas petitioner No. 2 belongs to Arora caste. Representation dated 25.12.2012 to respondent No. 2 has been appended as Annexure P/4.
After hearing counsel for the petitioners and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case or the validity of the marriage and keeping in view the binding precedent of the Hon''ble Apex Court in, Lata Singh Vs. State of U.P. and Another, , the present petition is disposed of with direction to respondents No. 2 & 3 to look into the said issue and take necessary action in accordance with law and provide protection, if required. Petition stands disposed of.
