M. Sasidharan Nambiar, J.—This petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of Indian for a writ of mandamus directing Respondents to take necessary steps to withdraw or cancel the red corner notice issued against the Petitioner, as requested in Exhibits P2 to P4 representations.

A statement has been filed by additional fifth Respondent to the effect that National Central Bureau (Interpol Wing-New Delhi) received a representation dated 16.12.2009 for cancellation/ withdrawal of red corner notice issued against the Petitioner, which was forwarded to IGP (Crimes), Kerala for necessary action. IGP, in turn, informed that red corner notice was not got issued by Kerala Police in Crime No. 897/2008, registered u/s 420 of Indian Penal Code by Central Police, Ernakulam City and subsequently transferred to the Crime Branch. It is also stated that since the red corner notice was published by Interpol, Abu Dhabi after receiving the report from IGP, Crime, representation of the Petitioner was forwarded to Interpol, Abu Dhabi on 8.7.2010 with a request to review the matter. Interpol, New Delhi again requested Interpol, Abu Dhabi by message dated 9.9.2010 to review the matter for cancellation of red corner notice issued against the Petitioner. It is, therefore, stated that Interpol Wing of CBI has not got published the red corner notice issued against the Petitioner and Interpol Wing had taken necessary steps to review the matter.
