Judgment
This contempt application is filed alleging willful and deliberate violation of the order of this Court dated 22.03.2021 passed in Writ Appeal No. 755 of 2018.
By the aforesaid order, this Court directed the respondent No. 1 to consider the candidature of the petitioner and to issue appropriate orders on the basis of merit for her appointment against any vacant post of Assistant Grade-III, as expeditiously as possible, and at any rate, within two months from the date of receipt of a copy of the judgment.
When the matter was listed today, this Court requested Mr. Satish Chandra Verma, the learned Advocate General, who was present, to ascertain as to whether the order of the Court has been complied with. The learned Advocate General, after interaction with the authorities concerned has submitted that an appointment order dated 11.11.2021 was issued by the authorities, a copy of which was also furnished to Mr. Sakib Ahmed, learned counsel for the petitioner. It is further submitted by Mr. Verma that as the said letter could not be served on the petitioner, once again, another letter was issued on 4.12.2021, a copy of which was also given to Mr. Sakib.
On perusal of the above two orders, Mr. Sakib submits that the order of this Court dated 22.03.2021 has been complied with.
Though the orders have been complied with, it is seen that such compliance is effected beyond the period of time stipulated by this Court. However, considering the matter in its entirety, this contempt application is not pursued any further and the same is, accordingly, closed.
The orders produced by Mr. Verma be placed in the record of the case.
