Vipin Sanghi, CJ

1) The petitioner has preferred the present writ petition to seek a direction to the respondent authorities to provide him protection against the alleged illegal action of respondent No. 3.

2) Reading of the petition discloses that there is a dispute between the petitioner and respondent No. 3 with regard to raising of certain wall by the petitioner.

3) In our view, the petitioner cannot convert the extraordinary writ jurisdiction of this Court into a civil proceeding. The State authorities cannot be dragged into the civil dispute that the petitioner has with respondent No. 3. We are, therefore, not inclined to entertain this petition. We, however, leave it open to the petitioner to approach the concerned authorities and the civil court, in case the petitioner has a grievance with regard to the alleged obstruction being caused by respondent No. 3 to the raising of the wall by the petitioner. We make it clear that we have not examined the merits of the petitioners claim.

4) The writ petition is, accordingly, dismissed.

Interim Relief Application (IA No. 01 of 2022) also stands disposed of.
