M. Venugopal, J.—Heard the Learned Counsel for the Petitioner and the Learned Government Advocate for the Respondents.

According to the Petitioner, his father died on 06.10.2011. After the demise of his father, the Gun possessed by his father is in the custody of the 2nd Respondent / the Inspector of Police, Mukkulam Police Station, Mukkulam, Virudhunagar District.

The cause for concern of the Petitioner is that he is owning sufficient property and living in a very lonely and risk-prone locality. Everyday he is living in fear. Till his father''s lifetime, his father was possessing the Gun No. 19223 RAICK FRERES LIEGE BELGIUM, Butt No. 66/57. After his demise, the same was handed over to the custody of the 2nd Respondent. In fact, the Petitioner had made a Representation to the 1st Respondent on 09.04.2012, praying for a name change in regard to the Gun licence, which was standing earlier in the name of his father and issue him a Gun licence. Till date, his representation has not met with a positive response. Apart from that it transpires that the Petitioner has made several Representations on 23.07.2012, 10.12.2012, 11.02.2013 and 18.02.2013. Also it is his case that he had repeatedly approached the 1st Respondent in person, however, his representations have fallen in deaf ears.

In view of the limited prayer sought for by the Petitioner in the Writ Petition viz., for passing of an order by this Court in directing the Respondent to consider his representation dated 18.02.2013, this Court without going into the merits of the matter and also not expressing any opinion one way or other, in the interest of justice and Fair Play, directs the Respondents to look into the Representations of the Petitioner dated 18.02.2013 and other representations in writing submitted by him, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Respondents are to sympathetically consider the plight of the Petitioner, as he had stated in para 3 of the affidavit in the Writ Petition that he owns sufficient property and living in a very lonely and risk-prone locality and after considering his position / plight, is to take a right call in the matter in question, within the time determined by this Court. It is made clear that the Respondents shall pass an impartial, unbiased and Dispassionate Order uninfluenced and untrammelled with any of the observations made by this Court in this Writ Petition.

Liberty is granted to the Petitioner to furnish the copy of the representation dated 18.02.2013 and other copies of the Representations made by him earlier to the Respondents concerned and the concerned respondents are to look into the same and to pass orders, as indicated in the Writ Petition, in the manner known to Law and in accordance with Law.

With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
