These writ petitions are filed seeking an expeditious consideration of applications filed by the respective petitioners for classification of their Hotels
as 'three star' or 'four star'. The applications for classification are filed before the first respondent.
The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that a decision has to be taken on the applications after inspection etc., and that applications have
been pending for a considerable period.
The learned Assistant Solicitor General appearing for the first respondent in each of these cases would submit that inspections are not been possible
on account of the COVID Pandemic and that an appropriate decision can be taken in the matter if a period of six months is granted.
The learned counsel for the petitioners has no objection.
Accordingly these writ petitions are disposed of directing the first respondent to ensure that the individual applications filed by the
petitioners in each of these cases for classification of their Hotels as either 'three star' or 'four star' will be considered and disposed of in accordance
with law, within a period of 'six months' from the date of receipt of a copy of the judgment.
