Judgment
Ajay Mohan Goel, J
By way of this petition, petitioner has inter alia prayed for the following substantive reliefs:
"i) Issue a writ of Certiorari to quash Annexure P6 dated 2nd September 2009 whereby the latter No.EDNH (19) E (A) 20082009 i.e. Annexure P4, by which the maternity leave to the contractual employees was enhanced from 85 days to 135 days on the ground that there cannot be any discrimination between the regular and contractual employees, has been withdrawn.
ii) Issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondent authorities to extend the Maternity Leave to present petitioner for 135 days.
iii) That the respondents may very kindly be directed to produce the entire record pertaining to the case of the petitioner for the kind perusal of this Hon'ble Court".
Learned counsel for the petitioner informs the Court that the Notification, which stood challenged in this petition, had already been quashed by the Court.
Be that as it may, taking into consideration the fact that the petition was filed in the year 2011, with the substantive prayer of issuance of writ of mandamus, directing the respondentsauthority to extend the Maternity Leave in favour of the petitioner, the same stands rendered infructuous with the efflux of time.
Petition is accordingly, ordered to be closed. Pending miscellaneous applications, if any, also stand disposed of.
