Judgment

Rule. Learned A.G.P. waives service for respondents. Rule made returnable forthwith.
The petitioner has filed this petition, inter alia praying for a Writ of Mandamus against respondent no.2 to finalize the application filed by the petitioner for issuance of tribe certificate of “Koli Mahadev”, which is pending since 18.12.2020.
We accordingly direct respondent no.2 to decide the said application filed by the petitioner within a period of four weeks from today, on its own merits and in accordance with law. The order that would be passed by respondent no.2 shall be communicated to the petitioner within one week from the date of passing such order. If the application is decided in favour of the petitioner, the tribe certificate as prayed for shall be granted in favour of the petitioner within one week. If the application of the petitioner is rejected, the petitioner would be at liberty to file appropriate proceedings.
Writ Petition is allowed in above terms.
Rule is made absolute accordingly. No order as to costs.
