Judgment

Mr. S. Pandey, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that after the matter has come before this Court, an amount of Rs. 13,39,766.86/- (Rupees Thirteen Lakhs Thirty Nine Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty-Six and Paise Eighty Six only) has since been released towards the terminal benefits of the petitioner. However, what remains is the gratuity amount, where the respondents in the affidavit at Para – F, have categorically stated that as entitled, the petitioner have been found to be eligible for grant of retirement gratuity amounting to Rs. 2,91,207/-(Rupees Two Lakhs Ninety-One Thousand Two Hundred and Seven only), and that the same is being processed to the Pay and Accounts Office (Assam Rifles), vide communication dated 05.08.2022.
It has also been stated therein that, the said amount of retirement gratuity will be credited to the Bank account through Core Banking.
In view of the affidavit filed by the respondents, nothing remains for further consideration by this Court and the writ petition is accordingly closed and disposed of, however, with the direction that the respondents will deposit the said amount, as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of 2(two) months from the date of this order.
