The State submits that no useful purpose will be served in keeping this petition, apparently filed in public interest, alive.

The State reports that the person concerned has been granted bail and the disciplinary proceedings can commence immediately. According to the State, which has carried the case diary to Court but which the Court has declined to look into, the investigation is proceeding in the usual course and without any impediment.

It is hoped that the investigation is concluded as expeditiously as possible and steps taken in accordance with law thereupon. Further, since the charges in the disciplinary proceedings have been served on the concerned person, such proceedings should be pursued without any further delay.

Since the concerned person was not represented in the present proceedings as he was in judicial custody till the time the last order was passed on March 9, 2023, the petitioner will immediately serve copies of all the papers pertaining to present proceedings, including the order made therein on the respondent No. 7 with the intimation that the matter will now appear six weeks hence.

List on June 20, 2023.
