[1] Learned counsel appearing for the respondents, on instructions from Sh. Manmohan Singh, Incharge, Govt. Model Middle School, Sector 23-D, Chandigarh states that the father's name of petitioner No.2 (i.e. Manvi) who is seeking admission in Class-I is recorded as Amit Kumar in the Birth Certificate (Annexure P-2) whereas in the Aadhar Card (Annexure P-1 colly.) it is recorded as Vikky Kumar, besides, the date of birth in the Birth Certificate (Annexure P-2) as well as in the Aadhar Card (Annexure P-1 Colly.) of petitioner No.2 (i.e. Manvi) is also differently recorded.

Learned counsel states that in the circumstances, the admission to the child Manvi (petitioner No.2) daughter of Amit Kumar as recorded in the Birth Certificate can be granted on the basis of Birth Certificate (Annexure P-2) but the petitioners would be required to get the necessary changes made in the Aadhar Card (Annexure P-1 colly.) so as to bring it inconformity with the particulars as given in the Birth Certificate (Annexure P-2) in order to enable them to obtain financial benefits as per the requirements stipulated in the admission form.

[2] The same satisfies learned counsel for the petitioners.

[3] Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of by directing petitioner No.1 to complete the formalities for admission of petitioner No.2 (i.e. Manvi) daughter of Amit Kumar on the basis of Birth Certificate (Annexure P-2). On needful being done, petitioner No.2 would be granted admission in Class-I on the basis of Birth Certificate (Annexure P-2) and would be allowed to attend classes. However, petitioner No.1 would be required to get the necessary changes made in the Aadhar Card inconformity with the particulars as given in the Birth Certificate (Annexure P-2) in order to enable the petitioners to avail financial benefits as admissible to EWS students. The said changes would be made as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of three months.

[4] The petitioners through their counsel are directed to put in appearance before the School Authorities (i.e. Sh. Manmohan Singh, Incharge, Govt. Model Middle School, Sector 23-D, Chandigarh) on 25.04.2019 in order to complete the formalities.

[5] Writ petition is disposed of in the aforementioned terms.
