Heard Mr. T.S. Phartiyal, learned Additional Chief Standing Counsel for State of Uttarakhand/respondent nos.1 to 5 and Mr. Kanti Ram Sharma,
learned counsel for respondent no.6.
By means of this writ petition, petitioner has sought a mandamus to the official respondents to take immediate steps for removal of respondent no.6
from the office of Gram Pradhan, Uprauli.
Mr. Kanti Ram Sharma, learned counsel appearing for respondent no.6 has apprised the Court that subsequent to the filing of this writ petition, the
financial power of respondent no.6 were seized, which was challenged by respondent no.6 by a separate writ petition. He has further apprised the
Court that term of respondent no.6 has expired and fresh elections have been held for different Gram Panchayats in the year 2019.
Since respondent no.6 is no more holding the office of Gram Pradhan, Uprauli, therefore, the relief as claimed by the petitioner cannot be granted.
Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed. No order as to costs.
