Judgment

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the present controversy is covered by the judgment of this Court in S.B. Civil Writ Petition No. 7469/2016 ; Rama Prasad Sharma v. State of Rajasthan & Ors. decided on 21.01.2022.
Learned counsel for the respondents does not refute the above submission.
In view of the submissions made, the present writ petition is allowed and the respondents are directed to forthwith reimburse the amount of medical bills submitted by the petitioner for the treatment of his ailment along with cost of medicines to the petitioner in accordance with the Rajasthan Sate Pensioners Scheme. It is made clear that the petitioner would be entitled for the medical reimbursement equal to the rates that may be applicable for similar treatment in the recognized government hospitals.
The reimbursement shall be made within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order. The said amount would carry interest @ 6% per annum w.e.f. the date on which the bill was presented to the date of actual payment. If the payment is delayed beyond the period of four weeks the amount shall carry interest @ 12% per annum.
