The present petition has been filed under Section 29A(4) and 29A(5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 19961 seeking further extension of the mandate of the learned Sole Arbitrator by six months.
The mandate of the learned Tribunal was initially extended by mutual consent of the parties under Section 29A(3) of the Act till 10.12.2025. Thereafter, this Court, vide order dated 11.02.2026, further extended the mandate for a period of 6 months.
In regard to the stage of the proceedings, learned Counsel for the Petitioner submits that the pleadings are complete, evidence of both sides has been concluded, and the matter is presently at the stage of final arguments.
Issue notice.
Notice is accepted by Mr. Aman Gupta, learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the Respondent.
Learned Counsel for the Respondent has no objection to the extension of the mandate of the learned Sole Arbitrator.
In view of the consensus between the parties, the mandate of the learned Sole Arbitrator is extended for a further period of six months to conclude the arbitral proceedings and render the award. The period till the date of the present order is also regularised.
The learned Sole Arbitrator shall endeavour to conclude the proceedings and render the award within the extended period.
The present petition is disposed of in the above terms.
