By way of instant petition, petitioner has prayed for following main relief:-

" (a) That the respondent-State may be directed to conduct the land settlement and land consolidation in village Mandwa, Tehsil Sadar, District Bilaspur, H.P. within two months in view of recommendation made by the Deputy Commissioner in BLS-SK-12(20)/85-III office of Deputy Commissioner, Bilaspur, District Bilaspur, H.P. dated 30.03.2007."

Respondents No. 1 to 4 in their reply have stated that residents of Village Mandwa including the present petitioner are Bhakra Dam Oustees and in this village, no settlement has been done after the year 1905. It has been further stated in the reply by the respondents that consolidation has been done in the year 1984- 85 and the respondent No.3 has taken up the matter with Government of Himachal Pradesh vide letter No. BLs-Sk-12(20)85-III, dated 30.03.2007(Annexure P-3).

Learned Additional Advocate General after having perused the aforesaid communication, fairly states that necessary action upon the recommendation made by District Collector, Bilaspur, District Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh, shall be taken expeditiously, if not already taken.

Consequently, in view of the reply filed by the respondents as well as fair stand adopted by learned Additional Advocate General, the present petition is disposed of with the direction to the respondent-State to take consequent action upon the recommendation made by District Collector, Bilaspur, District Bilaspur vide communication dated 30.03.2007(Annexure P-3) expeditiously, preferably within a period of four months. Necessary affidavit of compliance shall be filed after expiry of four months by Additional Chief Secretary (Revenue) to the Government of Himachal Pradesh in the Registry of this Court. Liberty is reserved to the petitioner to file appropriate proceedings in appropriate Court of law, if he still remains aggrieved. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed of.
