Judgment

By way of instant writ petition, as cast under Article 226 of the Consstitution of India, a Mandamus is prayed for, thereby, commandding respondent No.3 to issue an appointment/posting order to the petitiooner for the post of Section Officer in its office, as similarly situated persons have already been offered appointment. Further, a letter dated 19.02.2015 (Annexure P-10), is alsoo put to challenge.
During the pendency of thee instant writ petition, vide an order dated 24.9.2020 (Annexure RW-1/B), the petitioner was offered appointment, and he was ordered to be considered senior to the 21 candidates, who had passed SAS Part-II Examination in the year 2019.
At the outset, learned State counsel has apprised this Court that in consequence of the order (supra), the petitioner has even joined on the post of Section Officer with the establishment concerned.
In view of the supervening event, as demonstrated above, nothing substantive survives for adjudication in the instant writ petition, and the same is disposed of, as having been rendered infructuous.
However, in case any cause of action/grievance still subsists, the petitioner is at liberty to avail such other remedies, as shall be admissible in law.
