Judgment
In the wake of unprecedented and uncertain situation due to outbreak of the Novel Corona virus (COVID-19) and considering the advisories issued by
the Government of India, this application has been taken up for hearing through video conferencing to maintain social distancing.
This petition under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. has been filed by the petitioners for extension of time for depositing a fine amount imposed by this Court
vide judgment dated 15.05.2020 passed in Cr.A. No.103/2005.
It is argued that this Court had directed the petitioners to deposit the fine amount within 30 days but due to COVID-19 pandemic scenario
arrangement of fine amount could not be made and fine amount could not be deposited. It is submitted that the petitioners are ready to deposit the fine
amount and the penalty, which may be imposed by the Court within 15 days.
Counsel for the State has no objection to the same. Considering the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case,
this petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioners to deposit the fine amount within 15 days from today as directed by this Court vide
judgment dated 15.05.2020 passed in Cr.A. No.103/2005.
Petitioners are in jail. They be released forthwith.
Petition is disposed of accordingly.
