The present Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been filed with the following prayers: -

“i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent nos. 1 to 6 to provide water connection to the hostel of the petitioner.

ii) Pass such further orders or directions which are just and proper in the facts of the case.”

Heard Mr. Anchit Khokher, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr. Devendra Singh Bohra, learned Standing Counsel for the respondent nos. 1 and 7, Mr. Pankaj Chaturvedi, learned counsel for the respondent nos. 2 to 6 through video conferencing and Mr. Shailendra Singh Chauhan, learned counsel for the respondent nos. 8 and 9.

Mr. Anchit Khokher, Advocate, has prayed to decide the present writ petition with a direction to respondent no. 6 to consider the representation of the petitioner for which, the petitioner will submit his representation to the respondent no. 6 within two days’ from today.

Mr. Pankaj Chaturvedi, Advocate, has sought one week’s time to decide the representation of the petitioner.

With the consent of learned counsel for both the parties, the present writ petit ion is disposed of with a direction to the respondent no.6, Executive Engineer, Uttarakhand Jal Sansthan, Dehradun to decide the representation of the petitioner as expeditiously as possible, but not later than one week from the date of submission of the representation, by a speaking order and in accordance with law, if the petitioner submits his representation within two days from today.
