Judgment
S.S. Nijjar, J.—This petition u/s 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure seeks quashing of FIR No. 146 dated 8.9.2000 registered at Police Station Pinjore, District Panchkula under Sections 406/498A/506/504/323/34 of the Indian Penal Code, on the basis of the compromise arrived at between the parties.
Petitioner No. 1 and respondent No. 2, husband and wife, respectively are present in Court. It is stated that the matrimonial dispute has been resolved by way of compromise. Respondent No. 2 has already filed an affidavit dated 18.4.2001 in which it has been stated that she is now living happily in the matrimonial home with her husband.
In view of the above, it would be in the interest of justice to put an end to the criminal proceedings. Consequently, petition is allowed. FIR No. 146 dated 8.9.2000 registered at Police Station Pinjore, District Panchkula under Sections 406/498A/506/504/323/34 of the Indian Penal Code and the proceedings consequently thereto are hereby quashed.
A copy of the order be given dasti.
Petition allowed.
