Both these petitions, being connected and arising out of cross-cases, are taken up together.

On 22.11.2025, FIR No.410/2025 was registered by P.S. Vikaspuri. The abovesaid FIR was based on complaint of Ms. Sonia Sharma in which she referred to about one incident which had taken place on the night of 13.11.2025. The complainant is resident of Ordiance Apartment situated at Vikaspuri and the accused persons are also residents of the same Society.

The husband of the complainant had returned home in a taxi and when his luggage was being unloaded, the accused, who were in a car, started honking repeatedly, asking her husband to move the taxi immediately. Though, there were some argument, the complainant believed that the matter had come to end. However, on the night of 18.11.2025, the complainant-party was threatened, abused and assaulted.

Such report resulted in registration of FIR No.410/2025 and W.P.(CRL) 2287/2026 seeks quashing of the same on the basis of settlement.

A cross FIR i.e. FIR No.403/2025 was registered by P.S. Vikaspuri on the basis of complaint made by Mr. Rajnish Kapoor (accused in the FIR No.410/2025). The allegations in said FIR were made against Rajat Sharma and Aadi Sharma i.e. husband and son of Ms. Sonia Sharma, respectively. In the abovesaid complaint, the complainant claimed that both the accused brutally assaulted him without any provocation and that he was hit with some heavy object.

The abovesaid report resulted in registration of FIR No.403/2025 and W.P.(CRL) 2290/2026 seeks quashing of the abovesaid FIR. Charge-sheet in said case has already been filed.

It will be worthwhile to mention here that when bail applications were filed before this Court, the parties were referred to Samadhan (Delhi High Court Mediation & Conciliation Centre) vide order dated 20.03.2026 and before the Mediation Centre, both the parties were able to resolve all their disputes and they have agreed to withdraw their respective complaints and have given their ‘no objection’ to the quashing of the FIR.

The accused in case FIR No.403/2025, in terms of settlement, have already deposited a sum of Rs.1,21,000/- with Kalkaji Temple Trust, New Delhi on 27.04.2026.

None of the parties seek any monetary compensation.

Both the sides are represented by their respective counsels and are present in Court. Concerned I.O. is also present and complainants in both the abovesaid matters have been duly identified.

When asked, both the sides reiterate the terms of the settlement as mentioned in the abovesaid Samadhan Settlement dated 30.04.2026 and submit that they would have no objection to the quashing of the respective FIRs. They also submit that they have entered into abovesaid settlement voluntarily and of their own free will and without any pressure.

It is also apprised that in relation to FIR No.410/2025, the prosecution has already filed a closure report and the concerned complainant has no objection to the acceptance of such report.

Mr. Rajnish Kapoor also submits that they would have no objection to the quashing of other FIR.

It is also informed that Mr. Rajnish Kapoor and his family have already shifted to Gurugram, very recently.

In view of the settlement arrived at between the parties, continuing with criminal proceedings would serve no useful purpose.

Accordingly, exercising inherent powers vested in this Court under Section 528 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, it is deemed appropriate to quash both the FIRs.

Consequently, to secure the ends of justice, FIR No.0410/2025 dated 22.11.2025 and FIR No.0403/2025 dated 19.11.2025, both registered at P.S. Vikaspuri, along with all consequential proceedings arising therefrom, are, hereby, quashed. Original affidavits of the parties be submitted before the learned Trial Court within four weeks.

The present petitions stand disposed of in aforesaid terms.
